Seeing as myself and Gatts have very limited finances at the moment, we are considering running Silverfest 2010 in Dundee, possibly in October or November.

I'm adding a few possibilities of activities in Dundee, but it's not nearly as busy as accessible as Edinburgh and other cultural places. There's a possibility, depending on what week we book that something interesting might be playing at Caird Hall, there's an awesome gourmet burger bar called Ketchup (with a great 2-4-1 deal which would be useful) and for the more adventurous, I was thinking a country/adventure holiday might be suitable. There's paintballing, horse-riding, rock-climbing, ice-skating and so on. Obviously the weather in November won't be very clement up here, so take that into account. There's also a somewhat expensive country sports club called Auchterhouse which does archery, clay-pigeon shooting, quad-biking and even a bit of falconry.

And for the money strapped, as myself and Sov live in Dundee, there's the possibility that we'll be able to put a few people up for the interim. Don't know if there's any nice holiday apartments for rent yet.

EDIT: Oh, and theres the M&D's Theme Park, however its a two-hour train journey to get to it, each way as it's in Motherwell and will cost about £20-30 for a return ticket, each, that's not including the ticket for entry to the Theme Park.

I'm game I've checked train tickets and they're the low low price of £29 return. 5 hours journey with changes but what the hey you can't have it all. PAINTBALLING FTW!
